Google Latitude.
Gmail has improved very much, i didn't like the earlier version of gmail so i was using yahoo but now there are lot of changes in the gmail. Now, they have a better view for each item. Google is providing so many tools. Tools email, search, pictures, blogs and many more tools, now gmail has introduced google latitude. Google latitude alows you to see where your friends are located in real time on map. You just need your gmail account to get connected and you can specify which of your friends (contacts) can see your location.
